Lepakshi is culturally and archaeologically significant as it is the location of shrines dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu and Veerabhadra which were built during the Vijayanagara Kings' period. The Shiva's bull Nandi is a granite monolithic sculpture on the main road of Lepashki approximately 200 m from the temple one of the largest nandi in India. Starting from Konark Hotel, Kanteerva Hotel the route goes onto Tumkur Highway taking right at Dabaspete and then climb Devarayanadurga hill to continue on SH 3 crossing Madhugiri and then taking right at Pavagada towards Penukonda. At Penukonda take left to get back onto NH 44 to ride till Kodikonda and then take left onto Lepakshi town, continue further to reach Hindupur and then right onto Gauribidnaur to continue till Chikkaballapur to connect back on NH44 crossing Devanahalli & Bangalore Aiport. At Hebbal take left onto the ORR towards KR puram and then right onto Bangalore @ Tin Factory to end at Kanteerva Stadium
