This route is a Monsoon special, taking the road from Pune via Paud, along Mulshi Lake on rolling terrain, right up to the escarpment. There one descends the Tamhini Ghat into the Konkan, heading on Mangaon Rd till Nizampur. Turning around one has to climb the ghat back up, and roll along Mulshi lake back to Pune. This route is conducted in the Monsoon and the road condition are very bad. Flooding on the road is expected, making visibility of Potholes impossible. One can also expect fog close to the Tamhini descent. It is advised to attempt this BRM on MTB or hybrid only. Please note that in addition to the severe conditions there is a lot of climbing involved.
